Rachel started Wag Along after realizing she could turn her love for dogs into a career. So in 2015, she ended a 13 year career in corporate America, traded in her desk for long hikes, and hasn’t looked back.
I earned my Certificate in Training and Behavior Consultation at the Dog Training Internship Academy in San Francisco in 2015. I am a graduate of dog*tec’s Dog Walking Academy, and am certified in pet first aid and CPR.
In addition to running Wag Along since 2014, I am a training assistant in the Citizen Shelter Dog Program at San Francisco Animal Care and Control. I have assisted with training classes and managing playgroups at SF Puppy Prep. I am also a class assistant at the Dog Training Internship Academy, where I offer support and mentorship to students currently enrolled in the program.
Dog walking, and training are tools that enrich our relationships with our dogs. It is also great fun and builds wonderful bonds!
I understand that time is an issue for everyone. Whether you’re running to work, running late from work, or need to take the kids to their activities, time is a luxury, and time is what dogs need to be healthy and happy. Let me take the time to exercise your dog, so when you get home, your dog is ready to cuddle. We all need a good cuddle after a long day!
